The Georgia State University Jazz Band, directed by Dr. Gordon Vernick, is one of the premier ensembles within the GSU School of Music. The group has performed extensively throughout metro Atlanta and the Southeastern United States, earning national recognition with invitations to perform at both the International Association for Jazz Education (IAJE) Conference and the Jazz Education Network (JEN) Conference. With a focus on high artistic standards, the GSU Jazz Band cultivates musicianship, creativity, and a deep appreciation for jazz.
